We traveled back in history today to take a sneak peak of the Hannah Houses currently under renovations in the De Tonti Square region of downtown Mobile. Greeted by the beautiful Azalea Trail Maid Jane Roberts, we crossed the northern house's threshold through the towering double doors to experience the grandeur of design and architecture nearly 185 years old.

Built in 1833 by architect Ralph P. Anderson, and restored in 1963 by architects Winter & Ellis, the Hannah Houses consist of more than 9,000 square feet of two combined, three-story buildings with original heart-pitch pine floors, marble mantels, dark walnut banisters and tall ceilings with intricate medallions. The new owner, Bob Isakson of Lafayette Land Company, is spearheading the current restorations.

What makes this tour even more charming is Olde Mobile Antique's staging of the two houses. The beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces set the ambiance and reflect a time when life was simple and romantic. Make sure to check out Eugene Walter's room on the first floor!

WHAT TO WATCH: One of my favorite parts of our journey back in time is the Historic Restoration Colors palette of a (mint) turquoise and vermillion red trim in the entrance ways with touches of gold leaf accents. Timeless, yet popular.

SEE MORE! If you haven't taken the tour yet, The Historic Homes Tour continues today through Sunday, March 11, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. View the full schedule here.

The Hannah Houses are currently available to lease as professional offices. Please contact Heather Huffman of NAI Mobile for leasing information and to take a private tour.
