What a fantastic way to start a fantastic day here in Mobile! The NAI Mobile team looks forward to any meals with Mayor Sandy Stimpson, particularly the most important one of the day. We applaud the Downtown Mobile Alliance for another great year hosting Breakfast with the Mayor. If you couldn't make it this morning, here are some brief bullet points we took from the mayor's discussion.
Airbus is breaking ground today for the new A220 assembly
Brookley will have a big announcement next week (that’s all we get, Mayor?)
Broad Street renovation plans are about 90% approved through the Tiger Grant Initiative
St. Louis Street continues to have major infrastructure improvements as the technology corridor
The new I-10 bridge is expecting completion in about six years with a public toll to help offset costs
Water Street now has as sophisticated a synchronized signalization system as possible
Plans for Airport Boulevard are in the works to implement the same synchronized signalization system from Sage to McGregor
A new parks and rec director has been hired – Shonnda Smith
Quick mentions of the deepening of the port, downtown revitalization, parking improvements including multi-level parking systems
Working hard to get our young crowd back to the city
Now is the time to be a part of transforming this city instead of moving to a city that’s already transformed
Ways we can help:
Sell our city [the idea of moving here]
Spend your money here to be reinvested back into the city
Go to our events as there are plenty to attend
You heard the man – get out there and love where you live and work. Just give Mobile all the bacon and eggs you have!
