Upcoming Things to Do in Mobile!


With daylight savings here and spring only a week away, you will definitely be feeling the full effects of longer and brighter days ahead. It‘s that time of year when it is not yet oppressively hot and humid, allowing you to actually enjoy being outside. Perhaps you’ll choose to have a beer after work at Serda Brewing Company or just take a leisurely stroll on a Saturday. Of course, St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th, and there will an abundance of revelry and bar hopping to be had. So, whatever you choose there will be plenty of activities and events to pique your interest this March. Below are a few select events that are sure to kick-start your spring.

March 13th: LoDa ArtWalk

Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Downtown Mobile Free Admission All Ages

A mainstay for the downtown scene, the ArtWalk allows you to stroll around browsing local crafts and artisan’s wears. Local restaurants, bars and boutiques are also open later than usual artisans.

March 14th: Callaghan’s Irish Social Club 74th St. Patrick’s Street Party

Saturday from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. (live music)

Party in the streets, and listen to live music with a Guinness in hand at Callaghan’s raucous Irish event. If you are truly Irish, or just enjoy a good time, return on March 17th for more live traditional Irish Music!

March 14th: O’ Daly’s Irish Pub

Saturday from 12 p.m. to the evening

Mix things up with Goat Yoga! Then get ready for the annual Green Dress Run N Gun! Finally, end the day with live music from Lamont Landers and the Molly Ringwalds.

March 15th: City of Mobile Music in the Park

Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Public Safety Memorial Park Free Admission All Ages

The rock/soul group Red Revelers will be performing in the park.

March 21st: United Cerebral Palsy (UCB’s) Mobtown Mac ‘n Cheese Fest

Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Cathedral Square

Admission: $12 advance | $15 at the gate | free for ages 5 and under

Raise money for cerebral palsy and eat mac and cheese? Honestly, what could be better? Enjoy samples of the classic dish in both gourmet and homestyle while listening to live music.
